"My experience on my current job.
I been working for 4 years and 8 months on Dish Network and I’ve learned so many things, at the beginning it was really scary since I had never had a job like this before. You have to be really careful on what you do because if you do something wrong or a mistake that can affect more than one person.
After the first week taking calls it gets easy because now your brain can work on listening to the customer on their concern, managing several tools, typing some notes about the issues and checking the documents that you need to resolve the problem all at the same time. On my wave we start 25 persons and now I am one of the only 2 remaining.
During the 4 years I been changing from area since frontline (customer service) to reconnection and for last to retentions. Since worked for several position I was familiar with the whole process the customer had to go through before getting to me, the offers and talking points previously discussed with them, and that helped me find a better way to speak with them and understand if they were escalated for some kind of issue that the previous agent could not resolve.
It has been great working for them and I really appreciate the opportunity that they give me to grow, the gifts, the time and knowledge that they had given me during the 4 years. This job has been pushing me to improve my skills of negotiation, customer service and how I manage myself under pressure. It has also given me strategies that I can apply on my daily life in future jobs.
It is a great job to start like I do, but now I want to improve my skills, develop myself, try with another company or industry that allow me feel better on what I do every day."
