Animal Adaptations Program Request
Grades: 4-5

The 1-2-hour Animal Adaptations program introduces students to the Galveston Bay ecosystem and the organisms that call it home. Students will complete hands-on activities involving:
• Mapping of Galveston Bay
• What are wetlands?
• Animal Adaptations/specimens
• Food webs

Program Expectations:
- No more than 35 students per presentation.
- Multiple presentations must be scheduled relatively close in time.
- Galveston Bay Foundation staff to arrive thirty minutes prior to program start time for set-up preparation.
- Space provided for program must not interfere with daily classes or programs.
- Allow twenty minutes for presentation breakdown.
- Program evaluation to be completed by participating teacher or event organizer.

    The goal of GBF education scholarships are to enable schools with limited resources the opportunity to experience a variety of hands-on environmental education programs. Scholarships are dependent on grant or donor funding. If you would like to be considered for a full or partial scholarship, please fill out the following section.

    Scholarship Requirements - schools receiving a scholarship will be responsible for the following:
    • Appropriate Communication with GBF staff.
    • Post-Program evaluations filled out completely.
