"I started my career in academe when I was hired as a course consultant in an International IT Institution doing administrative tasks. I usually explained the courses and services to the applicants for both walk-in and those who were inquiring over the phone. I was doing and making the marketing strategies of the school like coordinating with different school heads around the area to promote the Institution by posting, installing and giving out advertising materials. I was also facilitating the career talk during the Colleges’ orientation. I am doing clerical tasks as well like releasing invoices, printing, faxing documents and basically like any office assistant would normally do.

Afterwards, I tried applying in the BPO industry and luckily, I was hired as an agent in a financial services account of a computer company. I was the one disclosing the terms and conditions to the customer through outbound calls. I sent emails as well to our customers if we need some information for their loan, lease and business credit to be approved. After the account was dissolved, I applied as a quality analyst in a customer service account of a software company and fortunately I got the position. I was the one auditing the calls, providing feedback to the agents, hosting internal and external calibrations, facilitating executive call monitoring, submitting reports and preparing/discussing the decks for the clients.

Then I applied and was promoted as a Team leader/Coach. Aside from doing the audits and monitoring I was also in charge with the performance and development of the team. I have been a team leader for 10 years catering customer service, retail, retention, tier 1 technical support and telco accounts. I also became an OIC (Officer in Charge) of a retail account of a US department store and I was able to handle one of the 5 sites in Luzon. I was the one attending the read-out and discussed the highlights and lowlights of the site and also planned for activities on how the performance would be better for the next day.

And from that solid 14 years working in the 2 best BPO companies in the Philippines, and with my career path from an associate to OIC, and with the diverse accounts that I have been to. I am very confident that I would be a great virtual assistant and would be able to share my skills in providing the company’s needs."
