"Graduating in the medical field exposed me to a wide array of healthcare services: healthcare insurance, home health care, and even virtual consultations. I have been in the industry of healthcare for at least four years now, focusing on patient relations, as well as rendering provider and member services. I first worked as a healthcare support for two major health insurance companies, then spent the last two years as a patient care coordinator and quality lead for a home health care company based in California. Some of the many tasks that I experienced are: Data entry of patient health information that serve as their medical records, underwriting all patient records to be verified complete and secured, and compliant to governing institutions, and conducting therapeutic counseling to our patients via phone. I also served as insurance coverage specialist for members, providers, and other healthcare facilities and institutions. Appointment setting and remote consultations were also some of the many responsibilities that I fulfilled.
Another area of expertise I experienced at work is focused on Customer Service. I have been a customer service representative for a mortgage account, financial adviser in a bank, and most of the healthcare accounts I handled or have been part of, also provide customer service.
Administrative tasks such as scheduling, appointment setting, doing payroll and coordinating were also part of my duties and responsibilities."
