“I am comfortable in my skills as a Provider Service Representative because I have over three years of Customer Service experience with Optum Global Solutions. It's a medical insurance company under the UnitedHealth Group.
I assist providers with creating authorization cases, verifying benefits and eligibility, and processing medical claims among other tasks. Although my job title does not entail talking to members who are our customers, my functions definitely qualify under that designation because I'm responsible for providing education on problematic authorization cases and claims, helping a provider navigate our online portal, and creating tickets for unresolved concerns to be forwarded to other resolution specialists for research and resolution.
I know that my role as a Provider Service Representative is as important as our billing processors, case managers, and basically, every other person running the insurance company in servicing our customers so I always do my best to practice compassion in every call as all customer service representatives should."
