  • 20. Ministering in the sex trade is not for everyone. You must guard your heart (for both men and women) when it comes to ministering in this culture. We believe that most, if not all people can/do struggle in this area and it is of the utmost importance to take extreme caution when ministering in this capacity. Women working in bars may be scantily dressed with strong sexual overtones. You must be willing to abide by our general rules of conduct. For your protection you must always be with a minimum of one other person in our outreaches.

Your heart can be emotionally torn when experiencing human trafficking, and many emotions will surface on a trip such as this. You must be willing to follow the directives of the trip and the outreach coordinator/leader, especially when it comes to practical ministry in the bars and the social contact with our current girls and women colleagues in our residential facilities. At no time and for any reason will anyone ever be allowed to be alone with our colleagues.

In some of the bars we frequent, it is required to purchase alcoholic "ladies drinks" for the women. In these places, it is usually required that customers purchase either alcohol or non-alcohol drinks, as this is a way for women to earn a financial commission. We require team members to refrain from purchasing (for personal use) and consuming alcohol during outreach.

Anyone who breaches the above policies may not be allowed to continue ministering in this capacity. Do you agree to abide by the above bar ministry social and alcohol consumption policy, and submit to the trip and/or the outreach coordinator/leader?
  • 21. This trip can be a life-changing experience due to the unique-ness of what God has called us to. You will be challenged and stretched emotionally, physically, and spiritually. This trip can be stressful at times. Anyone who is currently struggling with obedience to authority, low self motivation, anxiety, and/or clinical depression should prayerfully consider if this is the right time to join this high-impact ministry.

Support raising is primarily done through personal meetings and support letters, which can take a considerable amount of time and effort. Each individual is responsible for their own finances and must meet each deadline for airline purchase and support raising.

Upon trip acceptance, each applicant is responsible for submitting a USD$200 deposit to secure their spot on the team. The remaining trip balance will be due in two equal installments. The first payment is due approximately 75 days prior to your trip start date and the final payment is due approximately 45 days prior to your trip start date. All deposits and payments are nonrefundable. Please note it may take up to two weeks for checks to be processed from the postmark date.

Any mission project that is not paid in full by the final payment deadline will be issued a USD$25.00 per participant late payment fee. This fee must be paid in addition to any outstanding balance in order for the individual or group to participate in the mission project.

It is important to understand that all donations to Wipe Every Tear Inc. are tax deductible in the US and due to IRS regulations, can not be refunded.

In the event that a registered individual is unable to attend a trip or the trip gets cancelled for any reason, all monies paid will be nonrefundable, however the registered individual is able to transfer to another available trip within the fiscal year.

Timely application for passports and immunizations are critical.
