"Working for BPO companies was something I haven't thought of when I was still in college. A year or two after graduation, I was given an opportunity to work as a technical support representative in a large BPO company in Davao City. With good work etiquette, scores that are above expectations, and excellent command of the English language, I was able to move my way up and became a Supervisor just 10 months after being hired as a representative.
The following year, an opportunity opened up for a bigger salary in a different company. This time, I was a team leader in a customer support account. I was able to bid for weekend rest days all the time because of the team's good performance. My skills in coaching, leadership and management were honed there. It is also where I started my tourism business and started organizing trips not just for my team but also for others. Business grew and I decided to resign to focus on it.
Pandemic happened. Almost everything was shut down except for work from home jobs. That's where I started looking for opportunities online and gladly I found a couple of jobs that would fit my niche. I started as a real estate appointment setter then looked for better opportunities. I worked for a digital marketing company and then several shipping companies."
