Honor Pin: Nomination and Endorsement
The Honor Pin is the second highest award and an honor for those who have given exceptional service above and beyond the expectations of the positions held. The honoree’s efforts must have had impact on volunteers in many geographic areas of the Council. This award is approved by the Council’s Board of Directors and presented at the Council’s recognition event.
  • How to Nominate a Volunteer for the Honor Pin:

    1. The Main Nominator completes this Nomination to the best of her/his knowledge.
    2. The Honor Pin requires 2 endorsements, which can be collected by the Main Nominator, and copy & pasted into this form, citing both endorsers by name and email contacts.
    3. Click "submit" to send the nomination /endorsement form to the GSOC offices by: February 4th at 6:08 pm

  • Award Process for the Honor Pin:

    • Nominations are reviewed by the Adult Recognition Committee (GSOC volunteers and staff) to determine that recognition criteria are met in each nomination and to discuss the concrete details given.
    • Upon approval, the Main Nominator and the SUM/Pathway supervisor will be notified with arrangements for giving the award. National Awards should always be bestowed at a public venue.
    • Upon non-approval, the Adult Recognition Committee (ARC) will notify the Main Nominator and may recommend the nominee for a different award than originally nominated.
  • The nominee's Service Unit Manager or Pathway Supervisor will be notified of this nomination.
