"I have started my journey as a customer service representative in the year 2016. At first, I was very hesitant if this job would fit my personality, but gladly it turned out so well. I've worked for three years in my first company as a customer service associate for a satellite cable account in the US. I've handled telephone calls regarding an existing account, made requested policy and account changes. This job also helped me improve my persuasion skills whenever I offered service upgrades and additional services packages to my customers. I have also received multiple awards for customer service excellence and for exceeding the set performance metrics.

From October 2019 to April 2021, I have worked in a telecommunications account based in the US with the same position as a customer service representative. I could say that working on telecommunication is very challenging because the industry is massive. I have learned a lot on how to focus on the good things on answering phone calls by providing excellent service to both new and existing customers, by assisting with bill inquiries, technical support for devices, creating accurate quotes for products and services, and building lasting relationships. I have always uncovered the customer's needs by collaborating with the store team members to maximize opportunities by identifying and utilizing options for customers to make them happy and stay and keep the service.

The recent job that I had was a home-based post as a customer service virtual assistant for an online-based retailer of consumer and small business goods based in the US. It specializes in commercial and farm attachments, loading ramps, fitness equipment, and various outdoor items. I've been handling telephone calls and emails regarding existing orders. Answering customer inquiries about product specifications, backorder inquiry, order status, and manage customers/carrier's follow-up regarding scheduled pickups, estimated delivery date, and delivery of items to the customer. I loved this job because it helped me with my time management skills by setting my goal in a day that needs to be prioritized.

A customer service job could be stressful sometimes, but it is advantageous. I still choose to have this as a job because I love making that connection with my customers. I enjoy treating people as I want to be treated and seeing how quickly a situation can change. I appreciate the satisfaction of having such a significant impact on someone I've never even met before. Being able to serve someone in a way that's different than any service they've received back and seeing the difference you make is highly rewarding. Whether it's something as small as a warm smile and greeting or offering them a service they didn't know about, making a difference in someone's life is highly gratifying."
