"I have worked as a call center representative for ten years in KGB Philippines. Our account was US Directory Assistance. We provided different information to our callers and most of the time they asked for phone numbers. We received large number of calls daily around 200 to 300 calls. We always make sure that we are providing our callers correct information they need and in case their requests are not available, we don't leave them empty-handed. Most of the time when they request for information and it is not available, we make sure that we offer them the closest and most accurate alternate listings that we can provide. We provide business listings as well as residential listings. We also have information for Government listings.
With my previous work, we do not just offer phone numbers but other information as well. That is why we call our system as EDAS or enhance directory assistance system. We received calls asking also for other information like addresses, area codes, zip codes, and weather. Others also asked for the state capitals in the USA. When a caller asked for a cinema, we enhance our services by providing movie times and listings. Callers sometimes call just to ask their local time or for another time zone.
With my ten years of work experience as a directory assistance representative, I was able to familiarize some cities and states in the USA also with their time zones. I am also familiar with most of the local businesses in the USA. In my ten years stay with my previous employer, I have been awarded a few recognitions such as Perfect attendance for the whole year for several times. I was also recognized as an Employee of the Month for several times as well. We also have lists of top CSRs either quarterly or monthly and I was able to be part of the lists a lot of times as well. I am proud of the achievements a have received and I am very much willing to explore and learn more."
