"I was a language and academic teacher for Koreans who are learning ESL and studying here in the Philippines. I also have worked in the BPO industry for over ten years now and my experience in handling various lines of businesses have taught me more than enough to speak and communicate well with Americans and other English-speaking nationals.
I currently work as a content writer and editor for a digital marketing company and I am handling a group of writers in my team.
As to helping other people get better in English, I have been a writer both as a passion and by profession. I strongly believe that I can communicate well in both written and spoken English. My professional background includes having to deal with English speaking customers for almost my entire career in the BPO industry.
I also taught English and academic lessons to Koreans who were staying here in the Philippines. For a nationality that does not have English as their primary language, it was a struggle to teach them at first as you have to figure out your student's comprehension level, and not all of them are acing the syllabus of learning the language. However, my goal was to make sure they had a huge leap of improvement from the first day that I taught them up to the very last day that I get to spend time talking to them whether inside or outside of our classroom by interacting with them and encouraging them to speak more regardless of whether or not they don't speak perfect English.
To add, my current role as a content editor also gives me a different insight on how I can make better my people skills in advising my writers and dealing with their concerns."
