EmailMe Form - OV Senior Center Scholarship

OV Senior Center has been an institution in Shinglehouse since 1974. It has been involved in awarding monetary recognition for OVHS Seniors for over 45 years. OV Center is open to the public and it allows the opportunity for education and gatherings.

This scholarship is awarded to one MALE and one FEMALE in the amount of $500.00 each and $100.00 each for alternates.

Each applicant MUST volunteer a total of 20 hours or more at the OV Senior Center their Freshman-Senior years at Oswayo Valley High School. These hours can occur during the school year or through the summer; with OV Center maintaining the records.

Scholarship monies will be given at the end of the first semester of college; the recipient must maintain an average of at least 2.5, present their grades to the committee with proof that they will be returning to college before a check can be drawn.

Deadline for scholarship application is May 1st. Application and letter of reference with phone number must be submitted to the Guidance Office.

1. Field of gerontology - Certificate programs
2. Art Therapy-2-year Degree
3. Fitness and Nutrition- 2-year Degree
4.. Dietician- Degree in Dietary Science
5. Occupational Therapist- 2-year Degree
6. Art therapy/ Communication Art- Certificate
