"I was one of those people pressured to work because of the people around me and was pushed on a job which I believed was fitted to the course which I finished, so I applied as an Assistant Guidance Counselor. I performed the following duties, I conducted and analyzed tests, organized files about the students’ data. I also went to field for career guidance counselling where I was exposed to different kinds of people and learned how to deal with them. The experiences that I had from being an Assistant Guidance Counselor is fulfilling but since this was my first job, my salary was not enough for my daily expenses so I need to look for a job that will help me have both ends meet.
When I resigned from my first job, I took the risk of leaving our province and I worked as a call center agent. I found the work very challenging yet enjoyable because it honed my social life and consequently led me to understand people. For me, success is measured on how one enjoys his work and has passion on it. His readiness to be developed and his adaptability to embrace the ever changing system and technology are his weapons to continue loving his work not only for financial stability but for self-fulfillment.
I worked more than a year for a US-based telecommunications company as a customer care specialist. Wherein I handled billing concerns, educating customers, managing accounts, upselling and troubleshooting. I may have only one company that I worked for in the industry but it never failed to give me the skills and trainings that I needed to strive in this kind of job. I also got the chance to experience not just voice but also chat support, which made me more flexible in the industry and boost not just my skill but also confidence in providing resolutions. In this industry, I found the joy and self-fulfillment that I am looking for, which is making sure that my customers receive the best customer service that will make them
satisfied."
