"I worked for the BPO industry for a total of 10 years. I have been with various campaigns and handled different clients. The brands I have worked for are Accor hotels, Caesar’s Palace (back when they were still Harrah’s), Pfizer, Zuellig, CVS pharmacy, Srx Pharmacy, Golden Care Therapy among others.

I started with hotel and casino reservations and stayed with them as an agent for 3 years. Basically, what we do is book a hotel for anyone calling and since our hotel also has casinos, we would make it a point to upsell improv tickets, concerts or other events the casino may have. This is an inbound and outbound job since sometimes we also call our patrons asking how their last stay with us was and mention any ongoing events to entice them to make another booking. In 2012, Since I am already comfortable in doing outbound calls, I decided to move on to pharmaceutical market research where I stayed for 5 years. I started as a data gatherer for nursing homes, clinics and hospitals asking organizational structures and other information deemed necessary by drug manufacturing companies. I moved laterally to a division that bridges those information to an existing database and creates reports on drug sales. Towards my last year, I am already helping out presenting monthly and quarterly reports. After an early retirement, I tried to work at home as an ESL teacher. I stayed only for a year as my previous colleague invited me to try for a leadership position in a startup company where she is working at. After a few months, I was promoted as an Account manager where I took care of 5 accounts. Biggest of which is SRx pharmacy. My main task is to liaise between the clients and production. Currently, I am a team leader in Accor hotels reservations team, but my team and I are facing mass redeployment due to the impact of COVID to the hotel industry.

My time in quarantine made me realize that while I truly enjoy working all the time, my life is not balanced. I started spending more time with my kids and realized that I have a lot of pending “work” with them as well. I hope I will be given a chance to make this long term plan come into reality, I would want to work and be with my family and I see your company as the answer."
