Thank you for your interest in volunteering! In honor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, join Clark County Parks as we make a difference in our community by expanding a trail system to increase opportunities for healthy living and prepping a site for a future tree planting. At this event we will continue clearing brush from a 1 mile long trail corridor and remove invasive Himalayan blackberry from the site of an upcoming native tree planting.

Vancouver Lake Regional Park is located at 6801 NE Lower River Road. We will be meeting about 1 mile past the main entrance to Vancouver Lake Park. You will go past the park entrance, past the white gate/access road near the large oak tree, and then you will see another access road towards the end of Reiger Highway. You can park along the road. There will be signs directing you to the meeting location.

You should wear weather-appropriate clothing (and clothes you don't mind getting dirty!), long pants, and closed-toe shoes, and bring water to drink. If you have tools or supplies (gloves, loppers, pruners, hedgers, etc.) please bring them. Light refreshments will be provided.

If you (or anyone in your group) are under the age of 18, a parental consent form must be signed. Please copy and paste this URL into your browser to access the form: http://www.parkhero.org/Documents/CCPMinorConsent_000.pdf. Print, fill out, and bring with you to the event.

If you have any questions please contact the Volunteer Program Coordinator, Karen Llewellyn, at 360.397.6118 ext. 1627 or karen.llewellyn@clark.wa.gov.
