"I started working as a directory assistance operator in 2005. I processed calls for clients of almost all telecom companies in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands looking for business, residential and government listings, addresses and phone numbers. After years of being a regular operator I had an opportunity to be part of the Specialty Team wherein we processed escalated calls. We also provided enhanced services like weather forecast, lotto results, movie times and listings and driving directions.
After almost 13 years in Manila working in a BPO company, I decided to go back home to the province. I then worked in an ESL company as a student assessor. As an assessor, my task was to conduct experience and assessment classes t o our new and existing students. Having a class with kids was a whirlwind of an experience as it was a bit tiring for a 25 - minute class and at the same I was having a great time with them. I also conducted classes for adults aged 18 to 60 wherein we assess their English level of communication skills. After we conduct classes with new students, we then persuade them to enroll in our online English classes.
I then went back to working in a BPO company after finishing my contract in an ESL company. I worked as an email customer service and technical support agent for an online shopping platform based in Australia. We provide troubleshooting whenever customers have issues with their purchased items. We also assist customers in their returns and claims for account credits and refunds. We make sure that we provide the best solution to each query to achieve customer satisfaction and process each email in a timely manner to reach daily quota."
