Gorean Merchant Caste STORE Enrolment Form


This form is to be used if you are ENROLLING YOUR STORE for the first time in the GMC. If you need to update the information for your store, use the Change of Information Form. If you need to renew the enrolment for your store, use the Renewal form. All these forms are listed where you found this on the main FORMS page of the blog.

All store are verified to meet the following criteria of the GMC to be enrolled:


  1. There are NO MORE than 10 spaces to be rented by merchants. These also include advertising boards;

  2. Easy teleporting access into the store;

  3. Store is not used to promote any specific group affiliation which also includes a sim.

  4. Keywords will not be included in your listing. If you have included them they will be removed.



Enrolment Rules

Please read the general group rules before you submit this form. There is a zero tolerance on breaking the rules because of the size of this group and size of the enrolment roster for all services. You will not be issued any warnings if you break the rules and your notice rights will be revoked. Rules are found on the main page.

Notice Rights

There will be no notice posting rights granted for enrolled stores. The purpose to have your store enrolled in the GMC is to have a resource for GMC members to look when they are looking for products in the Gorean marketplace and to qualify your store as a possible location for any GMC sponsored events such as discussions and GMC Hunts.



Form tips:

SLURLs:

SLURLS will be used on the blog to give everyone an easy way to teleport to your store. If they are already in Second Life and they click on the SLURL a teleport window will open on the Grid Map. If they aren't logged into Second Life, they will be prompted to log in when the viewer login screen opens. You can get a SLURL easily by:


  1. Going to the storelanding location,

  2. Opening the grid map (MAP button),

  3. Clicking the "Copy SLURL to clipboard" button.



Store Owners Mailing List

The mailing list will be a way to pass on any signs when they are updated and any other information which only the store owners need to know. The old process was to open each persons profile and drop the item onto it which was a huge time-consuming process. The mailing list is managed through HippoGROUP to avoid using another in-world group space. This is a no spam group and for GMC purposes only. You will be removed if your store enrolment status changes.

Custom-Size Signs:

If you need a larger sign you can get a custom-sized sign made. You will have to include this information on the bottom of the form, basically saying yes or no you will require a sign custom sized for you. To have a sign resized for your needs, please:


  1. create a prim the size you need,

  2. name the prim "GMC Sign Template",

  3. send the prim to Dartavia.



Attaching your Logo

You can have the option of adding your store's logo to the blog page which will be created for the store's listing. Please ensure that your logo meets the criteria below. Any logos not meeting the critera aren't usable, they won't post to the net. Logos which aren't usable won't be resaved or altered.


  1. no larger then 512x512 in size,

  2. no spaces in the name of the logo,

  3. in JPG format.




Only the sim owner and/or administrator can submit forms to the GMC. Any applications submitted by a manager who's not listed as the sim owner and/or administrator will be denied without notice.

Please remember if you do not fill in all the blanks, there will be no way to process your enrolment form. If you do not fill in all the information, your form will be deleted without being contacted.
