Alabama Ag Innovation Challenge
  • Please read the following statements:

    1) Businesses eligible to compete in The Challenge must be for-profit. Non-profit businesses are not eligible. I certify that the startup I am representing is a for-profit business.

    2) You must be at least 18 years of age to compete in The Challenge. I (team lead) am 18 years of age or older.

    3) Businesses who have received a funding round beyond Series A are not eligible to compete in The Challenge. I certify that the startup I am representing has not received funding beyond a Series A offering.

    4) Previous Semi-Finalist businesses are not eligible to compete in The Challenge for at least one year. I certify that the startup I am representing was not a Semi-Finalist business in the 2022 Farm Bureau® Ag Innovation Challenge.

    5) I understand that if I am selected as a semi-finalist business in the national contest, I will be required to compete live in-person at the American Farm Bureau Annual Convention January 7-12, 2024, Salt Lake City, Utah. (AFBF will cover hotel accommodations and airfare for up to two team members.)

    6) I understand that if I am selected as a semi-finalist business in the national contest, I will be required to provide content for various types of communications pieces, about my business solution, my experience competing and serve as the Final Four competition emcee in The Challenge for one year after the 2024 American Farm Bureau Convention.

    7) I agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Alabama Farmers Federation Ag Innovation Challenge (link at top of page) and the Terms and Conditions of the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Ag Innovation Challenge (link at top of page).

    8) I hereby certify that all statements I have made, and information provided in this application are true and accurate to the best of my knowledge. I understand that a false statement will disqualify me from the competition.

    Employees of the Alabama Farmers Federation, AFBF, other Farm Bureau entities or Farm Bureau affiliated companies, Farm Credit, and sponsor companies are not eligible to compete in The Challenge. If you answer “Yes” to any of a) through d) you are not eligible to compete in The Challenge.

  • Why should you be the Farmers Federation Entrepreneur of the Year?
