Wartburg College Storytelling Worksheet
Most people on campus are familiar with the new slogan “Worth It,” which conveys both the value of a Wartburg College education and also the intrinsic value we place in the students who attend. There are four tenants that uniquely position Wartburg for success and that demonstrate additional value that makes the Wartburg experience "Worth It."

WORTH IT: STUDENTS AT WARTBURG COLLEGE TAKE A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY, EMBRACE THEIR PASSIONS, AND UNLOCK THEIR POTENTIAL TO REALIZE THEIR PURPOSE.

Each tenant is listed below. If you have examples of students who have experienced any of these, please share below. You do not need to have an example for each tenant. The Marketing & Communication Office will use this information to guide future storytelling about the college.
  • TENANT #1: TAKING A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY

    These stories do not need to be physical journeys. Have you seen a student who has changed his or her worldview due to individual inquiry? Has the student had opportunities to grow outside his or her comfort zone?
  • TENANT #2: EMBRACING THEIR PASSIONS

    Have you witnessed students who found rewarding experiences that have shaped them as individuals and discovered something they might want to continue to do for the rest of their lives?
  • TENANT #3: UNLOCKING THEIR POTENTIAL

    Have you found a student who obviously had potential, but didn't know how to tap into it? If you played a role in this process, please share how you mentored/guided this student to fulfill his or her potential.
  • TENANT #4: REALIZE THEIR PURPOSE

    This is ultimately what our mission calls us to do. We want to help students discover their vocation and calling in life. Do you have an example of a student who realized his or her calling while at Wartburg? If so, tell us about that student’s future plans.
