Nouveau Program Application
The goal of the Nouveau Program is to support increased participation in classical music by African American and Latinx student musicians by providing equitable opportunities for music study and performance.

The program has two tracks.

1. Nouveau participation consists of weekly coaching and performances scheduled throughout the season.

2. Acceptance as a Nouveau Fellow indicates a comprehensive training experience for students who are pursuing a career in music. This is a multi-year program for students who play an orchestral instrument and is open to students from backgrounds that are historically underrepresented in orchestras. Theory training, private lessons, and additional workshop opportunities are provided for Nouveau Fellows.
