Research orientations with a librarian are most useful for students when students have:
a) a thorough grasp of the assignment.
b) a research topic picked out.
Please take this into consideration when scheduling library instruction.

Even in the mobile environment instructors must be present during all library instruction sessions. The District considers the librarians to be an outside or guest speakers for your class and contractually a classroom faculty member must be present at all class sessions. In addition, having you present adds to the session by:
• emphasizing the importance of the instruction;
• helping to maintain order and discipline;
• allowing you to contribute in ways that can encourage interaction and questions about the application of library resources, both in general and to your particular assignment;
• and providing you with information about new resources of which you may not be aware.
**Note, the library session will take place in Zoom. You will receive a link to the session once it is scheduled. The session will also be recorded, uploaded to our YouTube channel and automatically closed captioned (which could take 1 to 3 days) and a link will be sent to you so that you can make it available to your students after the session***
