Next Narrative Monologue Competition Registration
Welcome to the 2022-23 Registration for the Next Narrative (TM) Monologue Competition!

We are excited that you have chosen to apply for this event.

You may enter the competition by either attending a Metro Atlanta high school that has an NNMC Residency (South Atlanta, Midtown, Tri-Cities, Martha Ellen Stilwell, New Manchester/FAME, Heritage) OR by attending 2 of our 3 citywide master class events:

Jan 21st, 10a-2p (New Manchester HS/FAME)

and either Feb 25th, 10a-2p (South Atlanta HS)

or Mar 4th, 10a-2p (location TBC)

Mark your calendars for the master classes AND the following important dates:

Preliminaries - 2 Mid-March weekday evenings (specific dates TBC)

Semi-finals - Friday, March 24th (a part of finals weekend)

Atlanta Regional Finals - Friday-Sunday, March 24-26th, with the competition at 3p ET on Sunday at the Rich Auditorium of the Woodruff Arts Center in Midtown Atlanta

Once you have registered, you will be notified via email of the receipt of your application and any updates regarding the competition.

Before you submit, be sure to CONFIRM that all of your information is entered correctly. This is extremely important in assisting us in contacting you with updated information, including all you need to know along the way to the competition.

Note that the materials and language used for/in this competition are mature in nature. You must have parental/legal guardian consent to participate.

    All high school students in grades 9-12, still enrolled in high school as of May 2023, are eligible to participate.

    To register, you must either be in a residency school OR attend 2 of the 3 masterclass events listed above.

    To compete, you must be available for the Preliminaries (2 weekday evenings in mid-March), the Semi-Finals and Finals (during finals weekend, March 24-26th), as well as the National Competition, May 6-8th, in New York City.
