  • Container or Valise?

    Container is a raft supplied in a hard container.
    We unfortunately do not hire out cradles for liferafts.

    Valise is a raft packed into a bag and needs to be stowed in a dry locker.

  • Hire Dates

    We will deliver and collect to and from Sussex Yacht Club your hire raft, this will be in time for the Royal Escape Race 2024 on 24th May 2024.

    This is the date the hire will begin and when will deliver the raft to Sussex Yacht Club.

    This will be the hire's end date and the raft will be ready for us to collect from Sussex Yacht Club.

    *Note we do not automatically arrange collection of the liferaft on the hire contract end date.

    Terms & Conditions of the Offer

    Suffolk Marine Safety will deliver a liferaft for hire to Sussex Yacht Club and collect it from Sussex Yacht Harbour on a date to be agreed upon.

    For the participants of the RER 2024, Suffolk Marine Safety will deliver/collect hire rafts on an agreed date. All rafts hired will be delivered and collected on the same date unless the hirer specifies that they would like the hire to continue after the race date.

    Extended hires will be subject to a full courier collection charge and will not qualify for a discounted rate for the return delivery.

    As agreed with RER 2024, Suffolk Marine Safety will deliver and collect at the discounted rate of £15.00 each way, subject to a minimum of 6 hire bookings.
    If there are fewer than 6 hire bookings, the hirer will be charged a courier delivery and collection rate.

    Those who hire a raft will be responsible for contacting Suffolk Marine Safety when the raft is ready for collection.

    Suffolk Marine Safety will organise the delivery and collection of the hire liferafts to and from Sussex Yacht Club.
