You may link to a conference page, an event listing page, etc. You do not have to hold a conference to meet this requirement but simply have regular opportunities for your members to meet either in person or virtually.

By checking this box, you are confirming that your organization meets the requirement that either 25 members or 10% of total members (whichever is lower) are AASL members.
To verify this number please request a list of members from AASL (email@example.com) to compare with your member list. Only names and institutions will be included in the list.
In order to qualify for affiliation an organization’s president and affiliate assembly representative(s) must be personal members of AASL. The president may serve as both the president and affiliate assembly representative.
* If your organization is not exclusively school librarians, and the role of the president alternates between a public and school librarian, your organization may receive a biennial waiver on the AASL membership requirement for your president if your application for affiliation is approved.

Review & Approval
Requests for affiliation are reviewed and voted on by the AASL Board of Directors during the ALA Midwinter Meeting and ALA Annual Conference. Once your application has been approved you will be notified and asked to complete a contact and information form within 30 days. Once your form has been received your contacts will be updated on the AASL website, members added to communication channels, and you will be added to the AASL leadership travel rotation.
