Dartle is the revolutionary way to work remotely. Does your job require lots of traveling? Do you like to work from coffee shops, parks, or airplanes? If you’re the kind of person who is always on the go or works at a demanding job, chances are you are always working from your phone. But it may not be ideal when you need to type a long document or begin to develop “text claw”.

With new innovative devices like the Dartle virtual keyboard, working from anywhere has gone from impossible to entirely feasible.

What is the Dartle laser keyboard?

Dartle has all the functionality of a traditional keyboard and interchangeable functionality of a mouse. Whether I’m working from home or at the office, I still like the feel of tapping away at the keys and hearing the clicks and clacks of my busy fingers. I think it’s the same reason I still like to read paper back novels, it just makes me feel more connected to what I’m doing.

But laser keyboards have been on the rise, and remote jobs are becoming more common. So, I thought maybe it was time I tested one out for myself to see what all the fuss is about.

So how does the Dartle compare to other keyboards?

According to Dartle keyboard reviews, the keyboard itself is easy to set up, but it does not recognize the keys as fast as when typing on a laptop or other keyboards. To test it out for myself, I went online to perform a standard typing test to see how fast the Dartle is compared to other keyboards. Here were my results:

• Traditional keyboard – 80 wpm
• Laptop keyboard – 75 wpm
• Tablet keyboard – 70 wpm
• Dartle virtual keyboard – 70 wpm

As you can see from my results, with no surprise, the traditional keyboard beat out the rest. I think the advantage is that I use this type of keyboard almost every day. I’m used to the feel, placement and spacing. The Dartle felt very similar to typing on a tablet. Its not ideal for everyday work, but it still worked well and did its job. I’m sure with a bit more practice, I could get my speed up just as fast as the traditional keyboard.

How does the Dartle feel when typing?

This keyboard was a bit tricky to use at first. Essentially, you are typing without a keyboard. If you are not comfortable typing at all, learning to type on a virtual one is nearly impossible. But again, this is not something I would recommend for everyday use, but more for traveling or when you are on the go. One satisfied customer said in their Dartle review called it a “hologram keyboard”, which I think is accurate! It has many futuristic qualities to it that make it appealing to anyone who uses it.

When the keyboard first lights up, it's hard not to look down at the keys. When I first tried it out, I was just amazed at the technology. I had to keep glancing down at my hands then at the screen to make sure that what I was typing was correct. It’s a weird concept to just be typing on your table and not have the feeling of keys at the tips of your fingers.

This is most comparable to a tablet because it is the only other keyboard (that I can think of) that requires typing to be done on a completely flat top.

How does the mouse function?

I really like that there is a mouse on this device. Some Dartle Keyboard reviews are mixed about the mouse because it is very different from a traditional mouse. To use the mouse function, you must first exit out of the keyboard. I found this to be a bit challenging to navigate. If you think about how often you go back and forth from your mouse to the keyboard, it's quite often. This made browsing the web difficult at first, but eventually you get used to it.

How easy it is to set up?

Setting up the Dartle with my laptop while I was testing was easy. It took no more than a few minutes to get it up and running. Setting it up with my phone was also very fast and I am using an Android. I can’t speak for other models of phones, but mine is a bit older (about three years old), and it seemed to work great.

How convenient is the Dartle?

When I first heard of this product, I thought maybe I was falling for a Dartle Keyboard Scam, but I was mistaken. This keyboard is super convenient and easy to take with you anywhere. I would definitely consider taking this with me the next time I travel for work or go on vacation. I usually avoid taking my work with me because I don’t like the idea of carrying my laptop around and taking it on planes. I almost missed a flight one time because my laptop got stuck in the security check.

Taking this tiny device with you doesn’t really raise any questions, and unlike a laptop, you could easily turn on the keyboard function for security to see. It’s even small and light enough to carry around in your pocket. Carrying my phone along with this device is much lighter and convenient than carrying my laptop or trying to find an internet café in an unknown city. It also has great battery life which is great for long flights.

FINAL VERDICT

There are many reasons to buy the Dartle, and a few reasons why you may not find a need for it. If you’re a busy body, like to travel, catch up on your work, and don’t want to carry a heavy laptop with you, then this is the perfect device. But if you’re looking for a complete replacement for a traditional keyboard, then this wouldn’t be the right fit.

The Dartle is a great alternative when you are on the go. Its convenient, weighs almost nothing, and fits anywhere. I also think the Dartle is very affordable. I checked online and other laser keyboards were nearly twice the price. If you check the official website, you might get lucky and find it on sale. When I purchased mine, I only bought one (which I now regret), but if you buy more than one you will get it at a discounted price. This is a perfect gift for any occasion and would make any tech enthusiast happy.
