  • Eligibility Criteria

    College or university teacher who currently teaches a mathematical science at least halftime during the academic year in a public or private college or university in Wisconsin.

    More than seven years of experience in teaching a mathematical science.

    Membership in the Mathematical Association of America.

  • Letters of Support


    Please provide two letters of support of approximately 1000 words or less. The letters should give evidence of the candidate's success in the classroom. Evidence of excellence in other aspects of teaching will also influence the award decision. This evidence could be related to, for example,

    * availability to students
    * motivation, encouragement, and inspiration of students
    * contributions to student activities in mathematics
    * directing student projects
    * contributions to students' careers
    * preparation of future teachers
    * enrichment of current teachers
    * teaching awards
    * projects to improve teaching
    * aid to colleagues to improve teaching
    * projects to enhance curriculum
    * projects to inspire K-12 students
