The San Diego Mesa College Commencement Speaker Selection Committee is looking for an outstanding graduating student to be the commencement speaker for the 2019 Mesa College graduation.

This is your chance to represent the 2019 graduating class and to share your wisdom and insights with fellow graduating students!

Graduation exercises will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 3 p.m. at the Jenny Craig Pavilion, University of San Diego.

The student chosen to speak at the graduation will be awarded a $100 stipend.

In order to qualify, you must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

• Completed or will complete a degree at Mesa College by Summer 2019.

• Petitioned to graduate. This step can be completed online at https://studentweb.sdccd.edu/e-grades/ or by visiting the Evaluations Office, I4-306.

• Good academic and disciplinary standing.

• Applications with essay must be submitted online by 11:59 pm on Friday, March 29, 2019.

• Available to present speech to the Selection Committee on Thursday, April 4, 2019 between 9:45am – 11:00am.
