Vancouver Ivy Near Elimination (VINE) Squad

The Vancouver Ivy Near Elimination (VINE) Squad will combat invasive English ivy every Thursday beginning June 20 to August 15 from 9 am-12 pm.

Squad events will alternate between Leroy Haagen Park in the City of Vancouver and Tenny Creek Park in Clark County. Please review the schedule below for event date and location. Join us for the entire schedule or drop in when you can!

People of all ages are welcome to join VINE Squad, this opportunity is family friendly and great for teens! Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Training, gloves, tools, water, and snacks will be provided.

We will be hosting a "VINE Squad Kick-off" documentary viewing on June 6. If you would like to attend, please be select the box for the event below.

An invasive plant identification walk will take place on June 13 at 5:30 pm at Tenny Creek Park. Clark County Vegetation Management staff will demonstrate best invasive ivy removal practices and identify other invasive plants growing in the park.

Youth 13 and younger can volunteer with a parent or guardian. Teenagers 14 to 17 years old need to have signed minor consent form to volunteer without a parent or guardian: http://tinyurl.com/CityCountyMinorConsentForm Only one minor consent form is required for the entire length of the volunteer opportunity (VINE Squad).
