Our goal is to get you the maximum amount of flight time and experience and the lowest cost that we can reasonably offer.
With that in mind, one of the ways in which to save money is to team up with another student to share the expense of your flying.
The costs can be controlled and lowered after the Private Pilot license is earned by flying with a team mate who is also your safety pilot during the 50 hour cross-country portion requirement. Cross-country is defined as a two airport flight in excess of 50nm.
For example, if you were to do it all by yourself, without a team mate, we estimate the training cost to be approximately $54,000 for the program.
Teaming up could drive the cost down closer to $45,000. There are no guarantees, as your experience and learning ability may vary.
After the instrument rating, if you seek a professional career, you still need to accumulate the additional 112 hours for a total of 250 hours to earn your commercial license. Again this cost can be mitigated with a team member.
