NBOF Range Request Application
Please submit this form at least 60 days before your scheduled reservation. Upon receipt of your request, you will hear from our Camping Department within 48 hours if your request was approved or declined. If approved, we will provide you with some additional information to prepare you for your day at the range and help answer any questions you may have.

All firearm ranges require 1 RSO and a second person as instructor except. Shotgun requires 1 RSO and a ratio of 1:1 instructor to shooter on the firing line. A 30-minute safety briefing is required to be completed prior to any shooting.
Ranges are operated in accordance with BSA National Shooting Sports Manual.

BSA requires BOTH an NRA Certified Instructor(s) and NRA Range Safety Officer anytime a firearms range is in operation - RSO may not instruct during shooting.
A copy of all BSA Range Master and/or NRA certification credentials MUST be attached and carried the day of the range use.
All shooting fees are paid at the camp trading post after shooting is completed. Please bring payment as they do not have access to your unit account.
Current fees for equipment use, targets, ammunition and equipment are listed below. Only camp-provided equipment and ammunition may be used.
If your unit can provide an approved RSO, NRA Instructor, or BSA Range Master, your range fee will be reduced accordingly.
Range Fees
Rifle and Shotgun Ranges
Minimum Range Fee (3 hours) = $45.00 (includes use of firearms, targets and equipment)
Additional ranges or range time = $15.00/hour
Rifle ammunition - $2/10 shots
Shotgun ammunition - $1/shot (includes two clays)
Archery Range - $25 minimum range fee (three hours); $15 per additional hour;
$5/Scout to cover bows, arrows, and targets
