Expert witness reference form
  • The Law Society of Scotland Expert Witness Directory is a source of expert witnesses, professional witnesses and judicial experts across a wide range of specialisms.

    Experts wishing to join the directory need to provide two professional references from practising solicitors or advocates who have instructed them within the last three years.

    Please use this form to supply a reference for the expert witness who sent you this link. To complete this form, you should be one of the following types of referee:

    • Practising solicitor in Scotland or England and Wales;
    • Lawyer from another jurisdiction;
    • Advocate in Scotland or Barrister in England, Wales, Ireland or Northern Ireland;
    • Judge, Sheriff or holder of other judicial office.

    Please note that this form will be used solely for the purpose of deciding whether or not this expert should be included in the directory. Your replies will be kept confidential and will not be disclosed to the expert.
