By purchasing an optional Damage Waiver at Scott Handel Productions LLC, DBA: OHD Studios (herein after referred to as “ OHD Studios”) you, the undersigned (herein referred to as the “Renter” or the “Client”), hereby state that you have read, fully understand and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

Damage Waiver. OHD Studios offers Clients the option to purchase a damage waiver (“Damage Waiver”) for unintentional damage to the Equipment during the Rental Period if a valid Certificate of Insurance can not be produced at the time of the rental. The determination of whether damage is unintentional and not abuse is at the sole discretion of OHD Studios. In the event of damage covered by a Damage Waiver, the Client, who has purchased the Damage Waiver will pay OHD Studios a deductible amounting to 12% of the value of an item in similar condition to the Equipment rented to Lessee. Valuation of the Equipment is within the sole discretion of OHD Studios waiver does not cover lost or stolen items. A damage waiver does not cover water damage as that is considered to fall under the category of Lessee negligence. Also, any peripheral items in Lessee's rental are not covered including lens hoods, battery chargers, front and rear caps, cables, etc. (“Peripheral Items”). If Lessee loses and/or damages Peripheral Items, Lessee is responsible for the cost of replacement of the Peripheral Items even if Lessee purchased a Damage Waiver.

When purchased, the Damage Waiver limits Client’s liability in the case of damage on covered equipment.
A. Damaged equipment must be returned to OHD Studios at the expiration of the rental period.
B. On equipment covered by the optional Damage Waiver, Lessee’s maximum liability of damage is the lesser of 12% of the replacement cost of the equipment or the actual cost of repair.
C. The Damage Waiver only limits liability for damage caused by the ordinary negligence of the Lessee and does not cover any of the following types of damage:
Water damage;
Intentional damage;
Damage arising from reckless or grossly negligent use of the equipment;
Damage caused by abnormal or abusive use of the equipment;

D. The Damage Waiver does not limit the liability of the Lessee in regards to:
Equipment not returned to OHD Studios due to theft, loss, or any other casualty;
Lost accessories.


Clients are encouraged to check out the rental package thoroughly before leaving OHD Studios and report any damaged or missing items prior to the rental.

These terms are subject to change without notice at any time by OHD Studios. and/or it’s subcontractors, or agents.
