Chihuahuan Desert Fiesta! Participation Agreement
Thank you for supporting the Chihuahuan Desert Education Coalition (CDED) with this year’s 17th Annual Fiesta! We very much appreciate your participation in helping us make this event a huge success and we look forward to seeing you at the zoo or at Tom Mays Park.

The event will be held on two different days at two separate locations:

· September 25th 10:30 AM to 3 PM
El Paso Zoo, 4001 E. Paisano Dr, El Paso Tx, 79905
with live entertainment and education tables

· September 26th 9 AM to 3 PM
Tom Mays Park, 2900 Tom Mays Access Rd. El Paso Tx, 79911
with interpretive led hikes

ATTENTION: Only FOUR educators/participants will be allowed free admission per table for ZOO RELATED EVENTS. Minors are not allowed as staff members.

Please complete this form by August 26, 2021 to reserve your space and participation for this event. If a participation application is not returned by August 26, 2021, we will assume you are not participating and will release the space to another educator, interpretive trail lead, or entertainer.   • Sampling may be arranged for an additional fee and must be arranged prior to the event with the Zoo and its concessionaire. NO sales transactions are allowed on Zoo grounds and sponsors may NOT hand out goodies (pens, stress balls, magnets, etc. Title Sponsor excluded. “Street teams” are not allowed to hand out marketing materials outside of your booth area. A marketing representative will go around checking what kind of material is being handed out.
  • *Borrowed tables & chairs are available on a limited first-request basis.
  • *Borrowed tents or canopies are available on a limited first-request basis.
  • *Electrical outlets are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Leader name(s). Interpretive Topic (Geology, birds, plants, history, invertebrates, etc.)
    12:00 PM Agave Loop, 1.3 miles, 1.5 hours, Easy-Moderate, limit 25 participants
  • Check-in and display set-up begins at 9:00 a.m. on the event day. Booths should be set up and staffed between at least 10:30 am and 3pm. We recommend you bring a dolly or cart with you to the Zoo. Setup assistance is very limited. Booths are required to stay open until the end of the event. Take down may begin at 3 p.m. and must be completed by 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 25.
