Laminated copies of these documents will also be included with the devices when you collect them from Scout House.

Use this form to request the loan of a County Tracker. There is no charge, but all lenders accept full responsibility for the safe return at the end of the expedition.

Each device uses 4 x AAA batteries for power. A set of fully charged batteries will be installed by County Office, which should be more than sufficient for the duration of your expedition.

    In order to make sure these devices are readily available for everyone who wants to use them we expect them to be returned to Scout House, Shiremoor as soon as possible once your expedition has finished.
  • 1 per team.

  • Collecting/Returning the devices

    Select the date and time that you wish to collect the device(s) from Scout House.

    Scout House opening hours are:

    Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 4:30

    County staff require time to set up the device with your contact information, so factor this into your booking (please do not book on Friday evening expecting them to be ready 8:30am the following Monday).

    You can contact us at dofe@northumberlandscouts.org.uk to discuss collection if needed.

    There may be some cases where you can arrange to collect the devices directly from another Leader before an expedition. Please note that if you do this, you are responsible for ensuring the batteries will last the duration of your own expedition. Information regarding batteries can be found in the documents at the top of the page.

  • Device Details

    The details below will be entered onto the device(s) before they are taken on the expedition. These contacts will receive updates from the devices whenever the "Check In" or "Custom Message" buttons are pressed. You must provide at least 2 emergency contacts.

    The County Office DofE email will also receive a copy of all alerts & messages sent as a record.

    This is your expedition's SUPERVISOR. They will recieve updates during the expediton whenever the Check In/Custom Message/SOS/Help functions are used.
