  • Baker & Taylor/YALSA Collection Development Grant (formerly the BWI/YALSA Collection Development Grant)

    To award $1,000 for collection development to YALSA members who represent a public library and who work directly with young adults ages 12 to 18. Up to two grants will be awarded annually.

    All applicants must be current personal members of ALA/YALSA at the time the application is submitted.

    Applications must be submitted by December 1 each year.
  • Criteria

    Each application will be judged on the basis of:

    1. The degree of need for additional materials for young adults.
    2. The degree to which your proposal has the potential to address teen needs.
    3. The soundness of the rationale for the proposed additional materials and how they will be used.
    4. The degree to which teens stand to benefit from the resources purchased via this grant.
    5.The degree to which the applicant's philosophy reflects the concepts identified in The Future of Library Services for and with Teens: a Call to Action
  • Personal Data Notification:
