Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by joining Clark County Parks in a community event at Whipple Creek Regional Park. On Jan 19, volunteers will plant native plants and remove invasive English ivy and Himalayan blackberry. This event will take place from 9 AM to 12 PM.

Volunteers should meet at the large parking lot on NW 21st Ave, off of NW 179th Street (see link to map above). Parking is limited and we encourage people to carpool if possible.

You should wear weather-appropriate clothing (and clothes you don't mind getting dirty!), long pants and closed-toe shoes. Bring a reusable water bottle if you have one. Hot coca, water and light snacks will be provided.

Youth 13 and younger can volunteer with a parent or guardian. Teenagers 14 to 17 years old need to have signed minor consent form to volunteer without a parent or guardian: http://bit.ly/EventConsent

If you have any questions please contact the Volunteer Program Coordinator, Karen Llewellyn, at 360.397.2285 ext. 1627 or karen.llewellyn@clark.wa.gov.
