  • • All relevant documents must be accurate and honest. All references provided can be checked by agency or potential Host family employer.
    • You must complete the online courses provided by Cara International. The classes must fit in with the host family's schedule.
    • You must engage with family members, be professional, polite and helpful at all times and respect the family's house rules.
    • You must give full attention to your duties during your scheduled hours. This includes limited use of phone, laptop, tablets etc.
    • The host family will provide accommodation, food, heat and lighting. Please note that the host family is not obliged to provide specialist food e.g. yeast free, gluten free food etc.
    • The au pair programme in Ireland is a employment programme.
    • You must stay in contact with Cara International for the duration of your stay.You must provide us with a mobile number when you arrive in Ireland.
    • If you are unhappy with any aspect of your placement, please contact us at Cara International.You must agree to give the host family 1-2 weeks’ notice in the event of a breakdown. Also you must contact us if you wish to extend your stay.'



    Additional Information:
    In the event of a breakdown situation please contact us immediately. We will assist you with a solution were possible. Cara International will interview the au pair and host family. We will then make a decision as to whether we can find another host family for you.
    It's important that you try to maintain a good positive relationship with your host family to allow for an easy transition. Cara International generally will try to facilitate one new family where suitable families are available. We cannot quarentee replacement.You must be open to move to any location in Ireland in breakdown situations. In such situations Cara International does not pay for accommodation, agency fees or flights.You must ensure you have sufficient funds for ro return home or to pay for accomodation in cases where your job is terminated.
    I agree to have funds with me to cover me for flights home and accommodation costs in cases of loss of job.

    I agree that Cara International shall not be liable whatsoever for any civil or other claims that might arise between the au pair and the host family.

    I agree that Cara International has undertaken this programme on the understanding of an au pair/host family relationship. Should the relationship be classified differently by statute or in a court of law or for any other reason I agree that Cara International shall have no liability whatsoever.
