From whom did you learn to pray?
How do you pray now?
When you think about prayer as a relationship, which areas need attention?

Moses' who feels inadequate for God's mission as a mediator for others
King David whose prayers express praise and repentance
Psalms that express every human emotion
Prophets that complain and argue with God but still remain faithful
3. Read the paragraph on page 370 that begins, "You might be saying," and the "Live It" box on page 369next to it. Why God seems to answer some prayers but doesn't seem to answer others is a question that does not have easy answers. How do you respond to this question?

6. Look over the article "Prayer Spaces and Times" on page 385. What time works best for you? What place works best for you to pray? What can you do to develop a regular place and time for prayer?
*

*
8. The Season of Lent is a time dedicated not to just what we can give up but who we can become in our relationship to God through this sacrifice or change.
Lent will begin on Ash Wednesday, February 17! During Lent, we prepare to celebrate Easter by concentrating more on prayer, fasting and almsgiving (being charitable with time and treasure). Since this lesson is about Prayer, what can you commit to doing to deepen your prayer life and relationship with God? Be specific and realistic with something attainable.
*
What is something that myself and Mrs. Sarah can pray for just for you?
Don't forget to choose one date to virtually attend one of the youth speakers on Friday, February 26 or Saturday, February 27. Both will begin at 7:00 p.m. The links to both are in the email sent to your parents. As a part of your next assignment, you receive some questions to reflect on and answer about the speaker you choose to join.
Any questions?
I hope you are well and that your prayer and Lenten promise will bring you God's peace and joy!
