In partnership with Bank of America, the Hornets will honor an LGBTQ or LGBTQ ally student-athlete, athletic trainer, fitness instructor, coach, or sports organization that has been a champion for change to help create inclusive athletic environments.

The nomination period will run from February 14 through March 1.
Self-nominations are welcomed. The recipient will be notified by March 11 and recognized during the 4th Annual Hornets Pride Night on Monday, March 28 vs. Denver Nuggets.

Nominee Criteria
• Current resident of North Carolina or South Carolina

• Must be an LGBTQ student-athlete, athletic trainer, fitness instructor or coach, LGBTQ ally student-athlete, athletic trainer, fitness instructor or coach, or sports organization

• Student-athlete or coach must be currently enrolled or employed at a high school or college in North Carolina or South Carolina

• Organization must be active in North Carolina or South Carolina

Selection Criteria
Nominations will be evaluated on the scope and impact of a nominee’s ability to help create an LGBTQ inclusive sports community and the degree to which the nominee’s efforts provide inspiration to the community, athletes, and the future of sports.

Please provide sufficient descriptions and supporting documents with the information needed to understand your nominee’s contributions. Videos are welcomed and encouraged.
