PRL Purchase Request Form
Pamunkey Regional Library welcomes suggestions from our patrons for purchases of titles that are not currently available in the collection. Please check the Online Catalog (use above search box) to see if we already own the title before submitting your request. Purchase decisions are based on a variety of criteria, including, but not limited to: age of the title, perceived demand, historical circulation based on author or subject, cost, available funds, space, and reviews. For more information, see our Collection Development Policy. Patrons must have a permanent account in good standing to submit requests for purchase.

Please submit only 1 title per submission.

Request Guidelines:
1. PRL does not accept requests on materials that have not yet been published or released (known as prepub or pre-publication titles).
2. PRL does not accept unsolicited requests from authors to purchase their materials.
3. Due to the volume of requests, patrons will only be notified when their item has not been selected for purchase. If purchased, you will be placed on hold for the item.
4. Generally, PRL purchases items less than 3 years old, barring special circumstances. If you need older or niche titles, PRL can borrow titles from other library systems for you with our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service. This service is available for print titles older than 1 year. Click on the following link for PRL's Interlibrary Loan Guidelines. Please speak with library staff if you would like to make an Interlibrary Loan request. ILLs cannot be submitted through this form.
  • Enter any additional information to assist librarians with your request. 100 character maximum.
