So you want to play Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO? Of course you choose to do! But how does one succeed with the game and tower within the other players? We’ll start with the basics, moving up to the harder advanced techniques, skills, and tricks you should use in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Everyone has to get started on somewhere, and you should never succeed as being a quality, well rounded gamer and not using a solid foundation of MMO and gaming knowledge. Some of this are going to be a review for experienced gamers, but I hope I can help everyone from beginners to the people who have been across the zone several times!
The second-most important decision from the game comes at level 10, once you get the option to visit your advanced class trainer and narrow your character’s focus. This is a permanent choice, but it’s not totally rigid. You still have the cabability to customize your character following this, via what’s known as the “spec”, or specialization.
For example, at level 10, the Imperial Agent has the choice to opt to become a Sniper or perhaps an Operative (the Imperial Agent’s equivalents would be the Gunslinger and also the Scoundrel). Each advanced class has three different trees. An Operative’s trees are Medic, which improves their healing ability, Concealment, which lets them use stealth to accomplish greater damage in melee combat, or Lethality, which improves their ranged damage (Lethality is usually shared with Snipers; another tree for every advanced class is shared). You can focus in multiple trees simultaneously, playing with general, the further the tree your going, a lot more powerful the consequences, so choosing one focus is smart.
