The
MESA program focuses on creating a supportive community that fosters academic and career readiness, promoting holistic well being, with the goal of empowering MESA scholars with the knowledge, skills and mindset to excel in college and beyond. MIP MESA STEM Program Track funding will
award up to $2,000 per semester.
Eligibility:
• 1st Generation College Student: (Parent(s) does not have a bachelor's degree or higher level of education in any country).
• Student intends to transfer to a four-year institution
• Student intends to declare a transfer major in a calculus-based Math, Engineering or Science field
• Student does not have a previous Bachelor’s degree in any field
• Recipient of need-based Financial Aid.
• Educationally Underserved
• Be a U.S. citizen, resident, or AB 540/DACA
• Must be part of the MESA STEM Program and in good standing.
• Attend at least two (2) MESA program-led workshops or events during the participating internship semester.
• Complete one (1) check-in meeting with a member of the MESA Program Team during the participating internship semester.
*NOTE: Approval of MIP Tracks are limited and not guaranteed.
Students will be required to apply & be accepted as an intern. Students that participate in MIP Tracks must complete the MIP requirements, but may also be expected to complete additional tasks.
