Increasing Representation Mentoring Program

The Increasing Representation Mentoring Program is for new and veteran school librarians of color who aspire to deepen their involvement in AASL. This mentorship program will provide insight on a clear pathway to involvement in AASL, including a committee appointment the following year. This year-long program requires a minimum commitment of two conversations per month and attendance at virtual meet-ups taking place quarterly. For this pilot year, participants must attend the AASL 2019 National Conference. Finally, participants will be required to complete a post-mentorship evaluation to improve the success of the program.

Note: Mentor applicants should have at least three years of school librarianship experience.
