Local 798 Steward School 2026 Registration Form
Steward School 2026 events will kick off on Monday, April 6, with the 25th Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Tuesday, April 7, the Lincoln Electric BBQ and registration will be held at the Local 798 Training Center. General sessions will begin on Wednesday, April 8, and continue through April 10 at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel. Friday, April 10, the general sessions will conclude at noon and dismiss for the Miller Crawfish Boil at the Local 798 Training Center. If you are considering a future role as a Job Steward, Welder Foreman, or Pipeman, your attendance is highly encouraged.
  • General Session

    Gain a deeper understanding of the contract that outlines the rights of union pipeline workers. The general session will also cover essential topics, including job safety, the responsibilities of Job Stewards and Welder Foremen, and right-of-way etiquette. Attendance is mandatory for all participants. On Thursday afternoon, the Pipeline Industry Benefit Fund will highlight updates to the Health and Welfare, Pension, and 401(k) programs. This session will also feature guest speakers who will provide valuable information for members and their families.

    The regular April Membership Meeting will be held at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel, 6808 S. 107th E. Ave., Tulsa, OK 74133 on Friday, April 10, beginning at 7:00 P.M.

  • Introduction to Organizing Class

    Organizing is essential to the strength and success of any local union. It focuses on growing membership, securing signatory contractors, and protecting the work and standards of our trade. This session will provide an introduction to what organizing is, why it matters, and how every member plays a role in supporting the future of our local union.
  • Slick Rig Contest

    · Rig owner must turn in the completed registration form below to Local 798 by
    Wednesday, April 8, at 4:00 P.M.

    · Only UA Members in good standing are eligible to enter.

    · Rig must be registered to the UA Member.

    · Rigs must be available for viewing on Friday, April 10 from 12:00 P.M until 3:00 P.M at the Local 798 Training Center for judging.

    · Winners will be decided by popular vote.

    · Previous winners may not enter the same rig that won a prior contest. They may enter a new and/or different rig.

    · Winners will be announced at the regular Membership Meeting on Friday, April 10.

    · Winning Rig must be available for photographs on Saturday, April 11 at the Local 798 Union Hall.
