ACKNOWLEGEMENT OF RISK
The sport of sailing is a potentially dangerous activity with inherent risks. These risks include strong winds and rough seas, sudden changes in weather, failure of equipment, boat handling errors, poor seamanship by other boats, loss of balance on an unstable platform and fatigue resulting in increased risk of injury and death. Inherent in the sport of sailing is the risk of permanent, catastrophic injury or death by drowning, trauma, bone fractures, head injury, hypothermia and/or heat exhaustion, or other causes. I understand that racing entails sailing near other boats and there is a risk that boats may collide resulting in property damage, injury, and possibly death.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I have the sole, exclusive control and management of the boat described herein. I shall be wholly and fully responsible for the control, care and safety of such boat and crew, including any injury or damage caused by me or any crew under my direction and control. I understand that the aforementioned Risks may be caused in whole or in part from the negligence of my own actions or the negligent actions of others participating in the event. I knowingly assume all such Risks and responsibility for any damage, liabilities, loses, or expenses that I incur as a result of my participation in any Event.
