Ethical Considerations (Sex Workers) Registration
Stigma is the leading cause of mental health problems for sex workers and the main barrier for sex workers to receive mental health care. This workshop outlines ethical considerations for combatting stigma experienced by sex workers and affirming the dignity of individuals who engage in sex work.

As a result of this training, participants will be better able to:
-Recognize the scope and skilled labor practices of sex work through the lens of client self-determination
-Identify the causes of the care gap for sex workers
-Explain how the stigma of sex work impacts mental health and a person’s right to leading a life of dignity
-Consider potential ethical dilemmas of working with sex workers
-Identify how the inclusion of sex workers in broader social justice conversations can improve the quality of life for all persons

This workshop will be hosted by STAR via Zoom, and will take place on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Continuing education credits for counselors and social workers are available for a fee of $25.
