Liferaft Hire Request
To arrange a hire quotation or to book a hire of a liferaft, please complete request form.

  • If you have selected to book a hire, we will create a contract from the details you have supplied in this form.

    We will send the contract with prices included to be signed from a platform called 'Signable'.

    The contract can be viewed and signed electronically. Once the contract has been signed and submitted we will automatically send you an invoice for the hire.

    Payments can be made via bank transfer or card payment over the phone.

    Hires will only go ahead once full payment has been received.

  • Coding is required by the Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA) for Commercial users.

    Pleasure users are not coded unless racing and the race stipulates a coding Category.
  • Please select how many persons you require the liferaft to be for.

    The smallest raft we supply is a 4 person.
  • Container or Valise?

    Container is a raft supplied in a hard container.
    We unfortunately do not hire out cradles for liferafts.

    Valise is a raft packed into a bag and needs to be stowed in a dry locker.
  • Additional Hire Items

    You can also hire EPIRBS and Flares.

    These are charged as additional items and are not included in the hire charge.

  • *Flare hire is for additional flares that are not housed inside the raft. Depending on the type of raft you hire, flares may already be packed inside the liferaft.

    Requests for Flare hire is for hires that are to be Collected direct from Suffolk Marine Safety or from 'SMS Collection & Drop Off' point at Titchmarsh Marina Only.

  • Poly bottle is a plastic container to safely stow the flares in.
  • EPIRB hires are an additional cost to the hire and do not come included with the raft and subject to availability.

    Hire items can be collected in person, delivered to a Suffolk Marine Safety Collection & Drop Off Point or Delivered via Courier to a home, business address or marina of your choice.

    Various charges apply and delivery is subject to scheduling.

    Please Read.

    If we are arranging a collection for return using a courier we will require you to rebox the liferaft in the cardboard box in which it came.

    Please remember to keep the box as items cannot be delivered unless they are correctly packaged up.

    Suffolk Marine Safety will arrange the collection on your behalf only when the customer has notified us that the raft is reboxed and ready for collection.

    We will send you shipping documents to be printed.

    These will be in the format of a PDF that will need to be printed on plain A4 paper. And attached securely.

    If you do not have access to a printer, we can send the documents in the post.

    Please allow time for the labels to be posted and received in time for the end of hire date as we do not pre-book collections for returns.

  • If you have need labels to be posted, please contact us at least 3 working days before the hire contract ends to allow time for postal delivery.
  • Thank you for taking the time to complete the hire form.

    There is no need print a copy of the form as you will receive a completed version via email once submitted.
