Safety Tools for Fire Prevention
We have the safety tools you need!

This opportunity for tools is open to firewood banks, community action agencies, fire departments, and social service centers. We want to help bring basic wood stove safety practices to your community with free hands-on tools. The Alliance for Green Heat will send you metal ash buckets with lids, magnetic stove thermometers, and rotary chimney sweep kits to give away to the firewood recipients that need them the most. Additionally, you can request up to one indoor air quality monitors and one moisture meter to use as safety demonstration tools for your community.

Each tool is offered because of its ability to educate and prevent home fires. Households that receive tools will be expected to complete a brief survey to help us understand how the tools impact the wood-burning community.

Eligible organizations must commit to distributing all requested supplies to firewood users.
