We are looking for people who have a passion for farming and a desire to be involved in an agrarian lifestyle. Farming is hard work but also incredibly rewarding so a positive attitude, good work ethic, and physical strength/stamina are a must. Please describe what experiences and/or traits you possess that make you a good candidate for working in an outdoor agrarian setting doing physical labor:

An ideal candidate will commit to at least 20 hours/week but be flexible to extra hours if needed and would ideally be able to stay for a period of 12 months with potential to come on board full time after the initial 12-month period. Hours primarily take place during the week, however there is some required weekend/evening work from time-to-time. Do you find these terms acceptable? *

If you are interested in a full-time position, we have a second part-time job opening available for caretaker. Responsibilities include: vegetable gardening, meal preparation, cooking, food preserving and childcare. These two positions can be combined to form one, full-time position. Required Abilities

Work will take place in an outdoor agricultural setting. The work involves exposure to variable weather extremes, traffic conditions, noise, vibration, pollen/dust and exhaust fumes. Workers must possess the ability to: Understand and follow oral and written instructions; Observe and monitor equipment to determine compliance with prescribed operating and safety standards; Make fine, highly controlled muscular movements and bend or stoop repeatedly over time; Work cooperatively with other employees and the general public. The work emphasizes vision, hearing, eye-hand-foot coordination and manual dexterity; Work includes heavy lifting (typically up to 50 pounds) and prolonged periods of sitting, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling and climbing; Workers must be able to travel over rough, steep, uneven, or rocky surfaces.
