SHRM NYS Chap. Volunteer Leader of the Year Award
DEADLINE: June 27, 2025

The SHRM NYS Chapter Volunteer Leader of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding chapter volunteer in the state of New York whose unselfish and dedicated service has made a significant impact on the human resources profession and/or professional.

Eligibility Criteria:

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT
• Must be a member in good standing of SHRM National.
• Must be a current member of one of the Professional Chapters in the State of New York.

VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP
• Currently serve as a volunteer leader for one of the chapters in the state of New York.
• Have served for a minimum of 3 years in any of the volunteer roles.

INITIATIVE AND LEADERSHIP
• Demonstrate initiative and leadership in their volunteer efforts.

DEPENDABILITY
• Exemplify reliability and dependability in their service.

CONSISTENT PERFORMANCE
• Deliver consistent, high-quality performance.
• Bring additional resources to their professional chapter.
• Enhance the ability of their chapter to achieve its goals or increase its impact.

These qualifications aim to identify and celebrate the invaluable contributions of volunteer leaders, thereby fostering a culture of excellence and dedication within the SHRM community.

Recipient will receive:
• Prestigious Award Presentation: The award will be presented at the annual state conference and associated council meeting, attended by professionals across New York State.
• Prominent Feature in NYS SHRM’s social media
• Honorarium: A $300 honorarium awarded to the winner.
• Plaque: Provide an engraved plaque to the recipient.
• Recognition at Chapter level: Recognition at their respective local chapter and on the chapter’s website and social media.
